Welcome Designers!
To submit a proposal you must first create a Submittable account. Submittable will allow you to save a draft until you are ready to officially submit. Please note, once you hit submit on your design proposal it is considered final.
The Design Jury will be meeting to select designers on November 16th. You have until 11:59pm on November 15th to submit your proposals. Any proposals not submitted by that time will not be considered. Designer and firm names will be hidden during the selection process to maintain anononymity and fair selection process. Designers will be notified of selections the first week in December.
Helpful Hints:
· Consider DHNW your ultimate client when developing your design proposal.
· The Design Jury will look for “wow” moments in designs that are livable, functional, and inspirational.
· We encourage you to be innovative and creative but also realistic about your resources.
· Please be certain your proposals are clear. Be as specific, factual, and informational as possible. The Design Jury will be reviewing many proposals, and it is important that we can easily understand your vision.
· If you are proposing permanent structural changes, please understand that they are at the designers expence and require approvals by the homeowners.
· Budget allowances have been offered for certain spaces to help cover product cost and labor for installation of items that will permanently remain in the home following DHNW. These are “not to exceed” numbers and must include any applicable taxes. Designers will be required to submit vendor receipts for reimbursement and will not be reimbursed for expenses over the amount of the allowance or for any markups. Spaces where budget allowances are made must be left “as is” when DHNW closes, with the exception of decorative lighting fixtures.
